'I am not starting a new party': In CPAC speech, Trump says he is devoted to the GOP thumbnail

Summary List PlacementFormer President Donald Trump on Sunday securely shut down the rumors of him possibly producing a brand-new political party outside of the GOP.
In January, The Wall Street Journal reported that Trump had talked about introducing a new party, the “Patriot Celebration,” with numerous close assistants and trusted pals.
Nevertheless, the former president tossed cold water on such talk at the beginning of his speech at the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) in Florida.
” We’re not starting new parties,” Trump said. “You know, they kept stating, ‘He’s going to begin a brand new party.’ That was phony news. Phony News. Would not that be dazzling? Let’s start a brand-new party. Let’s divide our vote so that we can never win.”.
We have the Republican Party. I am not starting a new celebration.”.
In a CPAC straw poll of the 2024 Republican presidential election, Trump came in very first location, garnering 55%of the vote. Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis can be found in second location with 21%of the vote.
Nevertheless, only 68%of the straw survey participants showed that they desired Trump to run once again in 2024, while 95%of participants desire the party to support the former president’s policies.
While alluding to a possible 2024 presidential project, Trump still declined to acknowledge his election loss, which he invested months attempting to overturn through different election pressure projects against GOP authorities throughout the country.Join the conversation about this story” NOW WATCH: Why electrical aircrafts have not taken off yet
